Lithuania Bought Seized Cryptocurrencies
The State Tax Inspectorate (STI) beneath the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania introduced Tuesday that it has offered the cryptocurrencies it confiscated in February and transferred 6.4 million euros to the state finances. The tax authority defined that that is the primary time it has offered seized cryptocurrencies.
Irina Gavrilova, Director of the STI Non-Fee Administration Division, commented:
The entire course of was new for the tax administrator, from the takeover of the confiscated cryptocurrencies to their sale.
